“HOW TO IDENTIFY AND SUPPORT A SENIOR WHO IS STRUGGLING!”
Presented by Stephanie Siete, this will be an interactive and educational session designed
specifically to help volunteers recognize when a senior may be struggling and understand how
they can provide support.
Stephanie Siete is a professional who provides educational awareness for keeping people safe. Drug awareness. Social media and smart phone safety are her primary areas of exptertise. She has done extensive research (and has experience) with seniors who are struggling with mental illness challenges.
You will leave knowing how to:
- Spot the signs that a senior is struggling
- Respond to someone with dementia without overwhelming them
- Recognize an overdose and act
- Understand opioid risks in our community and where to turn for help
Whatever you volunteer for, you meet seniors. This gives you something practical to do about it.
What You’ll Experience
- Meet other volunteers who are learning how to be better volunteer people in this community.
- Stephanie Siete will give you clarity on drug and mental awareness.
- Be recognized by yours and all the non-profits as being trained in Senior Drug, Alcohol and Mental Awareness.
