Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical
The Daisy Mountain Fire District was formed in 1989 and serves the residents of Anthem, Black Canyon City, Cave Creek, Desert Hills, and New River. Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical spans two counties (Maricopa and Yavapai County) and protects a population of about 60,000 residents under the direction of Fire Chief Brian Tobin.
Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical is an organization that strives for excellence in every aspect. DMFM employs 118 personnel, staffs six fire stations, has a Special Operations Division that includes a Regionally deployable Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue Response Team, as well as a Nationally deployable Wildland Response Team. The district covers approximately 250 square miles, which includes a dangerous 35 mile stretch of I-17 from Carefree Highway to Badger Springs Road.
DMFM Citizen Corps has established the following process to ensure a volunteer candidate is the best fit, committed to our mission, and will make a positive impact on the organization as well as the communities we support.
Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals 18 years or Older:
- CERT VOLUNTEERS MUST COMPLETE A CERT BASIC TRAINING COURSE.
- Submit a Volunteer Application
- Volunteer interviews may vary depending on staff availability.
- Complete a Fingerprint and Background Check at (no cost to you)
(Other forms of background documentation may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.) - ADOT Driver License Motor Vehicle 39 Month Record Request
- CPR, AED and Basic First Aid ( Offered for FREE)
Annual Required Training’s:
- Discrimination & Harassment Prevention Training
- Citizen Corps Driver’s Training
- Infectious Disease Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
